Ehdolla

The 2025 municipal elections are almost behind us. Regardless of who gets elected to the city council, it’s time to look forward and think about how we can build a stronger and more vibrant Kaskinen – together.

I sincerely hope that after the elections, all political parties, candidates, and residents can look ahead and try working together for the good of Kaskinen – even if letting go of past disagreements isn’t always easy. We have more in common than what separates us, and right now we need constructive dialogue and a shared sense of purpose.

Kaskinen’s leadership is currently in good hands – with capable people and a strong sense of direction. Now, political groups, council members, and residents have a great opportunity to do our part. Everyone can get involved – by sharing ideas, supporting, helping, and speaking up for Kaskinen.

We share a common goal: to bring Kaskinen into a new era of growth and opportunity. This can only happen through collaboration, courageous problem-solving, and open sharing of ideas. We need cooperation across party lines – not division, but listening, mutual respect, and joint effort to make Kaskinen a better place for all of us.

I propose a low-threshold idea initiative – a digital survey that every resident can respond to easily from home. The goal is to gather thoughts, share suggestions, and create real plans for Kaskinen’s future – together.

📌 According to the Association of Finnish Municipalities and Sitra, citizen involvement in financial and strategic planning not only increases understanding and acceptance – it also brings forth new ideas that wouldn’t otherwise emerge in traditional planning.
In a small municipality like Kaskinen, the entire budget can naturally be part of the public discussion – and a digital survey is an excellent way to begin.

👉 Do you agree that community input and an open idea initiative are important? Leave a comment – and feel free to share your idea for Kaskinen’s future! Let’s make this happen together.

The future isn’t built alone – it’s built together. Now is the time for all of us to do our best.
